 PIETRO REGGIANIDirector He really did very few things, but not bad: 'The book junkie', a short that was Italian Academy Award nominee, and 'My brother's summer', a feature prized at Tribeca and Montreal Film festivals. Stubborn, he tries not to be perceived such. He left native Verona to enter psychotherapy. CHIARA BISOGNOGraphic Designer Chiara Bisogno studies Architecture in Naples, the city that she hates "et amat." She spends sleepless nights working on redevelopment of urban areas, design of new buildings and renovations of older ones. This is her first experience as graphic designer. GIADA FORTESocial Communication Manager Giada Forte understood that cinema would be her way when she first saw "The Apartment" by Billy Wilder. After a degree in Communication Studies, she had a long apprenticeship in a production company. She is the responsible for the crowdunding compaign and the social communication. DANIEL MEJIAAssistant Director Daniel Mejia studied Cinema at Unitec in Bogotá, where he worked as assistant for some production companies and directed several short films. One day he fell in love with Italian cinema and decided to drop everything to move to Rome. He’s currently attending directing course at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. ELENA MONCADACostume designer Elena attended DAMS in Bologna, course of studies in theater. Her first experience in movies was as a volunteer in the costume department for "I Vicerè" by Roberto Faenza with the costume designer Milena Canonero. In 2008, soon after graduating, she moved to Rome and since then she has worked mainly as an assistant costume designer. LUCA COASSIN (AIC)Cinematographer After getting a degree in Photography at the European Institute of Design in Rome and one at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, he worked as a cinematographer in twenty-five feature films, among them "My Brother’s Summer", thirty documentaries and ninety short movies. In 2008 he won the prize for Best Photography at Dubai International Film Festival for the feature film "Casanegra" By Nour-Eddine Lakhmari. |
'Don't Disappear!' is a surreal comedy set in a world in which we assume psychosomatic invisibility exists, that is where people with social difficulties, in some situation, literally disappear.
We then follow the encounter between Roberta, a girl who disappears if nobody pays any attention to her, and Massimo, an anxious guy, who on the contrary disappears if somebody does pay attention to him.
The film tells the protagonists' childhood, their early adult experiences and their arduous love story (as they struggle to be visible at the same time); and along the story we give a kind of surreal excursus over some aspects of our contemporary western societies.
